President Muhammed Buhari, appointed Ibrahim Agboola Gambari as his chief of staff.

Ibrahim agboola Gambari,who is a former minister of external affairs that served between 1984 and 1985,was an indigene of kwara state.

He is also the one that served the longest term of being the ambassador/permanent representative of Nigeria to the United Nation,from January 1990 to October 1999,and altogether served under five heads of State and president.

He was subsequently appointed by the former secretary-general of United Nations, ban ki-moon,and the chairperson of African union commission as joint african Union-United Nations special representative for Dafur in january 2010.
