Ondo state government said,that another phase of lockdown might come up,if rising of covid-19 cases continue.

 Chairman of the state's special task force on covid-19 enforcement and compliance,Doyin Odebowale,stated this in an interview in Akure ,the capital of Ondo state,on Friday.

Odebowale,who was reported to have visited  some mosques during their jumat prayer,lamented that many of the worshipper were not complying with the guidelines and they breach the social distancing rules.

He added that covid-19 committee is ready to meet with  the religious leader,and Muslims in the state to enlighten them on the importance of following the rules and guidelines of covid-19.

"He said,we have been engaging the leadership and we hope there will be another engagement.

" we expect them to improve,there was not much social distancing and we are not satisfied.

"We are getting more cases and we are not happy. We don't want a situation where government will lock down the state.

Commissioner for health in the state,Dr wahab adegbenro stated that government was worried about the transmission of the virus among the resident.

He said over 160 people,who might have be in contact with the three new cases were being traced.
