The bloody war and destruction affect the noble and upper-class citizens the most, is either they were killed or they were impoverished, while the lower citizens were less affected because farming, herding, and pottery making continue but with an inferior instrument and machines.

As it was described by the historians the dark age was the most barbaric and primitive era in Greek history, as it was stated that all the economic and socio-political structure of the former super civilization was destroyed and reversed, the big mansion and houses with massive building materials are nowhere to be found, Mycenaean glory was erased and taunted, the recording of economy activities became something of the past.

 Also, during the dark age, the Mycenaean epic poetry underwent changes without the help of writing but through the illiterate professional bards, the Iliad and Odyssey of Homer are among the oldest Greek literature that survived in which it was composed, memorized, recited and it was passed from generation to generation by these bards, later on, the poem became a burden to the transmitters, because they are doing two works at the same time by telling the audience the glory of Mycenaean, their magnificent building yet the current building is inferior to what was described of the past, and also the bards describing the bronze can't help iron crawl into their discussion.in the 8th century, the Iliad and Odyssey of Homer appear in written form.

THE DARK AGE SOCIO-POLITICAL STRUCTURE.

The social stratification of dark age was that of barbaric and primitive, whereby there is no formal body or constitution, the power is being controlled by nobles who monopolized most if not all of the land, the noble household was fostered by birth and hereditary wealth and some claiming their genealogy to a hero of the past, nobles were ranked by their personal prowess and marriage ties with the strong household but the most important is their prowess. The rule of the dark age is that of a petty king who gains their glory and wealth mostly by petty warfare and raid and by the servitude of their subject, as it was stated in Homer's dark age poem, where a noble said that they possessed much of land, the vast and the most beautiful of them, they eat the fattest of the herds, they went to war so that their subject could praise them, however, the noble said the life is not eternal because if it was he will never go to war. The king of the time was that of a judge, ruler, and warrior.

THE FALL OF THE DARK AGE.

The dark age sudden disappearance in the 7th century was undramatic, as the rule is that of petty kings and rulers whose society is that of barbaric, this situation led to an era called "ARCHAIC ERA" (750BC).
